At Hair Lab Detroit we understand that academics and technical expertise are critical components of a quality beauty school education. But a complete education has to incorporate many other challenging, inspiring and motivating elements. These are some of the events and experiences that are a part of student life at Hair Lab Detroit.
When you join the Hair Lab community you’ll be energized, challenged and inspired by our campus events and opportunities. Groups like Student Council and Social Media Squad are open for students to join. Student contests and competitions happen regularly. And themed dress-up days also happen regularly!
From Hair Shows-inspired contests and photograph competitions,exposure to editorial-oriented education is ever-present. Our curriculum includes an Editorial Styling component giving students an opportunity to create and present their work in a fast paced, runway style environment.
Our curriculum includes activities dedicated to growing your professional skills, including resume building and preparing for job interviews. Our regular on-site Career Fairs provide a forum to meet employers, industry professionals and product companies, and our Placement Manager is dedicated to constantly updating our industry job board with employment opportunities for our students and alumni.
